First Trauma Care addresses the prioritized assessment of, and intervention for, the trauma victim in a multi format consisting of a short didactic session and an in depth practical session. Our online didactic modules are tailored to you, the provider, by offering flexibility with generous completion times. The group participating practical "hands-on" component is approximately 5 hours in length offering a wide array of scenario based activity. First Trauma Care makes every attempt to address realistic events and encounters facing EMS today.

First Trauma Care is a pass/fail course that assures education credits for those who complete the program regardless of their pass/fail outcome. Those whom are successful in passing the program will receive a certificate of completion that is valid for 3 years.

Additionally, several medical control authorities in Michigan recognize the successful completion of First Trauma Care and of course have identified First Trauma Care as an approved trauma program.
